Parse 5-field cron expressions and calculate upcoming execution schedules.
Translate complex cron expressions into clear human-readable sentences.
Convert Unix epoch timestamps (seconds & ms) to UTC, ISO 8601, and local dates.
This Cron Expression Generator builds a valid 5-field cron string from separate minute, hour, day-of-month, month, and day-of-week inputs, so you don't need to memorize cron's compact syntax. As you fill in each field, it assembles the expression, explains it in plain English, and lists the next 5 times it would actually run — a quick way to sanity-check a schedule before adding it to crontab, a CI pipeline, or a job scheduler. It complements the site's existing Cron Expression Tester (which parses and explains a cron string you already have) by working in the opposite direction: starting from what you want the schedule to do. Everything runs locally in your browser. Scroll down to build your schedule.
The standard 5-field format: minute hour day-of-month month day-of-week, compatible with crontab, most CI schedulers, and job queues.
Set minute to 0, hour to 9, day-of-month to *, month to *, and day-of-week to 1-5 — this generator's defaults show exactly that example.
Yes, any field accepts standard cron syntax including steps (*/15), ranges (1-5), lists (1,3,5), and wildcards (*).
This tool builds a cron string from fields you choose; the Cron Expression Tester parses and explains a cron string you already have.
Next run times are shown in UTC to avoid ambiguity — convert to your server's configured time zone if it differs.
