Frequently asked questions

How do I resize an image without losing quality?

Scaling down preserves quality well; export as PNG to stay lossless. Scaling up cannot add detail that isn't in the original, so enlarging always looks softer. For photos, WebP or JPEG at 80–90% quality usually looks identical at a much smaller size.

Does resizing keep the aspect ratio?

Yes. Aspect-ratio lock is enabled by default, so changing the width updates the height proportionally. Turn the lock off if you intentionally need a different shape.

What image formats can I resize?
